Have you noticed that on Pesach there are no breakfast shortcuts? Introducing… fruit breakfasts! Hope you enjoy them!
Have you noticed that on Pesach there are no breakfast shortcuts? No cereal with milk, no quick toast with butter, no granola or danishes to quickly scarf down. You end up having no choice but to eat real food. I know… life can be hard on Pesach, LOL!
Introducing… fruit breakfasts!
I have been totally obsessed with fruit for breakfast in the form of smoothies and fruit salads for a long time now. They are a totally satisfying meal, healthy, cleansing, and delicious. The best thing about them is that they give you a ton of energy while leaving you feeling light.
I must admit, it’s not usually that easy to get most people on board this healthy habit, but I figured for Pesach, I may as well share these with you. It’s the perfect time to end the enslavement to food that makes you feel heavy and lethargic for the rest of the day and begin something new and better.

Fruit for breakfast is the key to real health. The reason for this is because at night, your body works on digesting all of the food you ate during the day and moving it down your 23 foot long pipeline (small intestine is about 18 feet long and the large intestine is 5-6 feet long). Then, between 4am and noon, the body focuses on moving all the digestive waste out the pipeline.
So, between the time you wake up until about 12pm, you are in elimination mode, for which light, cleansing food is best. If we eat processed food or hard to digest food for breakfast, elimination is less likely to happen. And this is how people become more and more constipated over time, which leads to bloating, weight gain, lowered energy, and a lowered immune system.
Fruit is by nature a mover and a laxative. But only on an empty stomach. When we eat fruit in the morning, it aids in the elimination process while also nourishing you at the same time.
What could be better? 😊
