Has Rebbe Nachman helped you to come closer to Judaism?
This week on BreslovCampus, Meir Elkabas discusses the Torah portion, Parshat Vayeshev with insights from Rebbe Nachman of Breslov and Reb Noson. In this parsha we are introduced to Yosef HaTzaddik, who went out of his way to try to connect to the “second class” tribes, the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah. This continues to this day, the idea that newcomers to Judaism, or unlearned individuals, need a great Tzaddik to help people come closer to Hashem. In Uman Rebbe Nachman saw a holy spark of hope in the intellectual Jews who weren’t living according to Torah, and spent time with them. Rebbe Nachman’s teachings help anyone who truly wants to be part of the Jewish people, similar to Yosef HaTzaddik.
