Behind the extensive library of the Breslov Research Institute is a secret. Before the publication of our more than one hundred titles, there was just one man and a tape recorder.
That man was Rabbi Zvi Aryeh Rosenfeld, z”l, who brought the teachings of Rebbe Nachman to the English-speaking world for the very first time. He went from synagogue to synagogue, school to school, and night class to night class in New York, inspiring young and old, beginners and scholars, Ashkenazim and Sephardim with Rebbe Nachman’s wisdom. Later, it was he who requested of his student, the legendary Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan, to translate the very first Breslov book into English.
Forty years after his passing, we gather in both Jerusalem and in New York in order to not only remember this great man, but to once again be inspired by his legendary teachings and by his incredible devotion to Rebbe Nachman and the Breslov movement.

We are excited to present you with a program of fascinating memories from some of Rabbi Rosenfeld’s closest students, including Chaim Kramer, founder of BRI and Rabbi Shlomo Goldman, as well as newer students such as Davy Dombrowsky and Rabbi Leibish Hundert. Our dinner honoree, Mr. Avi Glickman, himself a cousin and close acquaintance, will also share his unique experiences with Rabbi Rosenfeld.
A festive dinner replete with pictures, memoirs, gifts and musical entertainment by Yitzchak Attias and Sons (from the Nuriel band) will make this an evening you won’t want to miss!
