Post-Purim Triumpth & Survival

In life, before every climb there must be a fall.

The depth and darkness of the proceeding fall is determined according to the height and benefit of the future ascent.

We see this when observing the Purim miracle. Since Purim brought about great light and miracles experienced until today, it is no wonder that Haman/Amalek posed such a severe threat to the continuity of Jewish existence.

Reb Noson teaches that every miracle and breakthrough in life is somehow rooted in the Purim miracle:

The amazingly clear Divine Providence found concealed in the sequence of events related in the Purim story, is far greater of a revelation of Godliness than the open miracles which took place during the Exodus and the splitting of the Red Sea. This is because revealing Godliness from within the veil of concealment is much greater than experiencing His revelation brought about through open miracles.

Imagine if you had the ability to see God everywhere and in every situation – no matter how much He was hidden. Wouldn’t that be incredible? But through reading the Purim story we see this was true for the survival of the Jewish People and it is also true for each and every one of our lives.

So cheer up and hang-on. Don’t drop everything. Take a deep breath, and wait patiently for God’s salvation in the upcoming climb/ascent/breakthrough that is coming your way.

You have always been their salvation, their hope in every generation, to make known that all who place hope in You shall not be put to shame, nor shall all those who trust in You be disgraced forever.
