The Breslov Research Institute is proud to announce the first ever publication of an in-depth commentary in English on Sichot HaRan (Rabbi Nachman’s Wisdom), as taught by Rabbi Tzvi Aryeh Rosenfeld z”l during his lectures given in Brooklyn during the early 1970’s.

Who was Rabbi Rosenfeld z”l?

Today, almost everyone  knows at least something about Rebbe Nachman of Breslov. This is in large part due to Rabbi Rosenfeld’s dedication, intense confidence and simple pure belief in Rebbe Nachman’s teachings at a time when many had never even heard the word “Breslov”.

Rabbi Rosenfeld introduced the Rebbe’s Torah in his classes on Breslov Chassidus during 1950’s through the 1970’s. He used his vast knowledge of Talmud, Midrash and Kabbalah to explain the Rebbe’s words to his many students.

Rabbi Rosenfeld’s felt a profound and awesome love for God, His Torah and His true Tzaddikim. These feelings influenced all of his actions. By understanding the form of Breslov Chassidus that he taught with his unique style, intense confidence and simple pure belief in Rebbe Nachman, we can begin to fathom the awesome passion of this great man.

Thankfully, approximately 1,000 of his recorded lectures on Tanach, Ein Yaakov, Halacha, Likutey Moharan and Rabbi Nachman’s Wisdom have been preserved. Although, Rabbi Rosenfeld’s lectures were imbued with his vast knowledge of Talmud, Midrash, Zohar, Kabbalah, inevitably the underlying theme of all his learning was always Rebbe Nachman.

We are proud to present the first chapter of this new publication.
