“There is a classic sefer called Likutey Moharan, written by Rav Nachman Breslover, a great tzaddik and a great genius. He writes that an old tzaddik once told him an important thing. In his younger years, said this old tzaddik, he was all alone with no one to take an interest in him. Had someone come over to him during those years, patted him on the back and said, “Don’t worry, everything is going to be all right,” he would’ve been a different person. He could’ve accomplished ten times more in life than he did.“
Rabbi Shlomo Freifeld Speaks, pg 66.
If even the greatest tzaddikim need encouragement, than how about us? Let us each encourage those around us and lets pray that we too find someone to encourage us.
