Covid lockdown, a broken bone, job loss or any other scenario in which you feel like you’ve hit a wall – do you realize that a different, possibly greater opportunity awaits you?
Hi Ladies! Can we talk about breakdowns to breakthroughs today? Yes, I’m still on the topic of the broken foot issue – sorry! It’s just that it’s really making me think… whether it’s a Covid lockdown, a broken bone, job loss, illness, a child getting kicked out of school, or any other scenario in which you feel like you’ve hit a wall, do you realize that a different, possibly greater opportunity awaits you? When you hit a wall, it’s very possible that Hashem has some kind of a life transition in mind for you. He is pushing you to expand what you currently see as possible for you to do, accomplish and be successful at.
The trick is to first and foremost, not to wallow in victim mode for too long. When you can let go of the disappointment and accept that this is where Hashem put you and that there are solutions and opportunities in this situation, that is when a mind shift can take place. That is when you can take charge of your attitude and take responsibility for figuring out where to go from here. No one is a powerless person whose luck has run out. Every person can choose and create something better for themselves. Which path are you going to take when change comes knocking at your door? It’s up to you to choose.
During the first lockdown in Israel, after the initial shock and fear wore off, I said to myself: okay so I’m going to go through this, it’s going to be challenging but this crazy thing is really happening, so I better start dealing right now. You know what I did during that first lockdown? I added a whole new repertoire to my wellness biz – I got certified in face yoga and started teaching it on zoom. I joined a homeschooling group and started learning about how to manage myself, the home, and the kids when everyone is together at home 24/7. I brought weights and started working out with weight for the very first time and got amazing results.
When you can let go of the disappointment and accept that this is where Hashem put you and that there are solutions and opportunities in this situation, that is when a mind shift can take place!
You can take a situation that feels like you’ve hit a wall as an opportunity for something amazing or you can get stuck in the yetzer hara state of mind that is trying so hard to bring you down and think things like: well I can’t go out for a walk because of lockdown; I can’t do anything around the home because of a broken bone; I can’t concentrate because the kids are always around; I am feeling worse by the day and it’s depressing.
Is this really true – are you truly stuck? There are a lot of things you can do. You can exercise online, you can get a treadmill or a rowing machine, you can eat healthier, you can take natural immune boosters such as herbs, vitamin D, vitamin C, garlic, ginger, colloidal silver, turmeric, oregano oil; we have phones and/or computers that enable us to learn new things, upgrade our knowledge, work online, have an online side biz. These are all choices. When you hit a wall, you get to choose different ways of going about your life that are positive and move you forward in life.
I have a friend who started a whole side business and another who wrote a book while in lockdown. Several women I know have been happily homeschooling ever since that first lockdown. Another friend moved out to the country and has never been happier.

I know a woman who quit her secretarial job due to a toxic work environment. She was divorced with two little girls but just could not take the workplace abuse any longer. She started her own digital marketing company and two years later is making 5 times more than she did at the secretarial job and is also employing three people! I have a friend who got divorced after many years of marriage. After the divorce, she took her therapy and healing process to a much deeper level. Two years later she got remarried – to her ex-husband. No joke! I met quite a few people at my level II Detox certification course several years ago who had been seriously ill just a few years prior and were now in glowing health thanks to their seeking out a new way of healing and living.
When you make positive changes upon hitting a wall, a new light in the form of new opportunities and new realities shines bright and leads to new and exciting outcomes. Would you like to participate in a new world? Hitting a wall is your opportunity. We don’t get too many of these opportunities so go for it.
Yes, I know it’s not easy. Did you really think it would be?
What’s been coming up for me in the broken foot situation has been to move forward with a digital product for my biz that I’ve been procrastinating on, tweaking/implementing parenting strategies that I’ve been learning about in my homeschool group and taking care of my health on a deeper level.
Here are the deets on that last one:
- Drinking my special herbal detox teas every single day. Heal All Tea, 3 Lung Tea, Skin Tea and Kidney Tea. They. Are. Awesome.
- Water with lemon and a pinch of grey salt first thing in the morning.
- More face yoga, face massage, face acupressure.
- Skin brushing to get the lymph moving.
- Detox work: probiotics morning and night, magnesium, aloe gel.
- Lavender oil on my pillow.
- Deep breathing.
Seemingly negative situations will always come up but it’s how we deal with them that propels us forward or leads to more negativity.
What do you do to get out of the funk?
Wishing you much success in forging a path to being the best you and living the life that Hashem had intended for you!
