Series: Self-Discovery through the Tales of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov
Rebbe Nachman’s stories are among the most well-known in Jewish literature. His shorter tales are easily-accessed gateways into powerful, inspiring messages. Tanchum Burton will give a reading of four short tales, offering an abundance of Chassidic, psychological, and spiritual insights through a mixture of lecture and vibrant classroom discussion. Good things come in small packages!
Topics Include:
- The Thief—A surprising story rich with imagery from Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism, the battle between good and evil, and plenty of humor.
- Faith—Travel on the high-seas, a wicked captain, and a precious gem, and a lesson in the power of faith.
- Kaptzin Pasha—Palace intrigue sets the scene for a tale of a Sultan and an honest, Jewish family-man who escapes a death-plot.
- Simplicity—Who will place the crown on the King’s head?
